Piacenza | Sguardi sull’Africa

Trium Art Gallery is pleased to participate in Sguardi sull’Africa, a major exhibition hosted at the Palazzo Gotico in Piacenza and curated by Paolo Giglio and Samuele Menin.

Bringing together over 200 works from the Collezione Giglio and Collezione 54, the exhibition presents a wide-ranging survey of twentieth-century and contemporary African artistic production, placing ritual objects, historic North African painting, and current diasporic practices in dialogue.

Within this institutional framework, Trium Art Gallery presents significant works by Ibrahim Ballo, Odinakachi Okoroafor, Pedro Pires, and Soly Cissè, contributing to the section dedicated to contemporary African art with practices that engage questions of identity, memory, and cultural transformation.

The opening on February 28, 2026 will take place in the presence of Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli and Minister Tommaso Foti, accompanied by a special program including a dance performance and a concert by Senegalese master musicians.
