Germinale Monferrato Art Festival 2025
Trium Art Gallery is pleased to present, as part of Germinale Monferrato Art Festival, a dialogue between Pedro Pires and Federico Borroni at the historic BAVA Winery in Cocconato (AT).
The works address central themes of our time: on one side, Pedro Pires’ monumental sculpture, which reworks the signs of the urban landscape into a metaphor for boundaries and collective identities; on the other, Federico Borroni’s site-specific project Selvatica, which through painting and ceramics explores the poetic strength of wild plants-resilient presences that grow on the margins and reinvent themselves without limits.
A meeting of distinct practices that intertwine with the Monferrato landscape, transforming the exhibition space into a place of reflection and shared experience.

An imaginative landscape inspired by alimurgic plants: wild, resilient herbs that symbolize vitality and endurance.
Through germinating lines and primary colors resonating like petals, Federico Borroni creates a poetic microcosm where painting and sculpture converse, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in a forest of signs and forms.

A sculptural body born from the ornamental motifs of Luanda’s urban fences, transformed into skin, armor, and constraint.
Pedro Pires weaves the hardness of metal with vegetal lightness, shaping an ambivalent threshold: protection, yet also exclusion.
In this fragile and powerful dialogue, the border becomes a metaphor for collective identities and the social tensions that mark our present.
