Federico Borroni

Federico Borroni, born in Recanati in 1991, is an artist distinguished by his refined, complex, and profoundly conceptual painting. After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata, the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he developed a pictorial language that reflects an intensive investigation of visual perception and the interaction between the artwork and the viewer. His work comes to life from the direct observation of nature, which serves as the starting point for a highly intense pictorial transformation.

Natural fragments such as leaves, branches, and vegetal weavings are reworked through a series of sketches and studies, which are then translated into a layered and complex pictorial system. The resulting chromatic surfaces are dense and enveloping, giving rise to spaces where the boundary between the visible and the invisible dissolves, creating a visual experience that challenges mere representation. Borroni does not simply reproduce reality but transforms it, opening up new dimensions that suggest unknown worlds and spaces for infinite reflection.
